GREENS OVERVIEW

We have a Head Green Keeper, Alex Lowes, and a team of 4 green staff. Any comments or queries should be directed through our Greens Chairman via email greens@nmgc.co.uk We keep members informed via the website of course projects and greenskeepers reports and use text messages to highlight any extraordinary works.

In the winter NMGC insist members play from a mat on the fairway or take their ball to the rough, usually commencing when the clocks change in the last weekend in October.

This will continue until around mid March – weather will dictate. Winter mats can be purchased from the Pro Shop.

Guidance on this and on general etiquette is included in the club diary and should be read and fully understood before playing the course. Play from the competition tees is only permitted during competition play or in recognised matches or knockout competitions.

The use of powered trolleys with normal width wheels can lead to course damage in wet conditions and is therefore prohibited during the winter and winter wheels must be used.
